Bulmers 100% Lamb - 454g Chubb

Bulmers 100% Lamb - 454g Chubb

Raw mince suitable for dogs, cats and ferrets. 100% lamb mince, up to 10% bone, no offal

A complementary feed, suitable for dogs, cats and ferrets of all ages. These recipes are balanced, but you should aim to feed at least 3-4 proteins to form a complete diet - the more the better. Additionally, you may choose to mix in some vegetables or supplements to enhance the diet.

When feeding raw, the amount of food to be fed daily is based on a percentage of your pets bodyweight. Puppies and kittens require a higher percentage as they grow, gradually decreasing as they age.

Dogs:

7-10 weeks old: 8-10% daily split over 4 meals

10-16 weeks old: 7-8% daily split over 4 meals

16-20 weeks old: 6-7% daily split over 3 meals

20-24 weeks old: 5-6% daily split over 3 meals

24-36 weeks old: 4-5% daily split over 2 meals

36-56 weeks old: 3-4% daily split over 2 meals

56-68 weeks old: 2.5-3.5% daily split over 2 meals

68 weeks up: 2-3% daily over 1 - 2 meals

Seniors: 1.5% daily over 1-2 meals

Cats:

8-16 weeks old: 10-13% daily over 3-4 meals

16 - 32 weeks old: 6-8% daily over 2-3 meals

32-52 weeks old: 3-6% daily over 2-3 meals

Adult: 3% daily over 2-3 meals

Less active/seniors: 2% daily over 2-3 meals

Ferrets are a little more complex and their feed may differ depending on time of year etc. It is best to look at some raw fed ferret forums to establish what is needed.

When reducing percentages, you should start at the high end and gradually reduce it so that there is a smooth transition between feeding stages.

  • Remember, quantities given are only a guide. Every dog/cat has a different metabolism, microbiome and nutritional requirements. Feeding raw food should be matched to their individual needs, just as you would a commercial food diet. Always pay specific attention to your pets weight, physical appearance and toilet habits.
  • ALWAYS wash hands, utensils and surfaces after use. Treat the area as you would prepping your own meals.
  • Once thawed, keep refrigerated in a tub and store as you would any other raw meat. It should keep fresh for 3-4 days. If your pet is small and the food will last more than three days then defrost, portion and refreeze on the first day.
