DAF Guinea Fowl Mince 80:10:10 - 454g

Description

Guinea fowl is a less common poultry option, making it a great choice for pets that need a break from the usual proteins like chicken or turkey. It’s often classed as a novel protein, so it can be helpful for those with allergies or food sensitivities.

This mince is made to the standard 80:10:10 ratio (meat, bone, offal), making it suitable for a balanced raw diet. Guinea fowl is naturally lean, with a slightly richer flavour than chicken, and provides useful nutrients like B vitamins, iron, and phosphorus to support energy levels, muscle function, and overall health.

Adding in different proteins like guinea fowl helps bring variety to your pet’s meals. Most enjoy the change in flavour and texture, and it’s a good option if you’re rotating meats or feeding an elimination diet.

DAF Guinea Fowl Mince works well as part of a varied raw feeding routine — whether you're exploring new proteins or catering for more sensitive pets.

Key points:

  • Suitable for raw-fed pets (dogs, cats, ferrets)

  • Lean, novel protein – good for sensitive pets

  • 80:10:10 balance (meat, bone, offal)

80:10:10 minces, sometimes known as' 80:10:10 complete' is the go to mince for many raw feeders, regardless of whether they are feeding a dog, a cat or a ferret.

This is because it is a balanced mince consisting of 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal, it is based on the average makeup of prey that our pets would naturally hunt and consume in the wild.

Regardless of species, these minces are 99% the way to being a complete food, they simply require protein variation and the optional addition of supplements such as a B.A.R.F complete - or maybe taurine for cats- to make it a complete and balanced diet.

80:10:10 minces are labeled as working dog food because working dog food is exempt from tax, this means manufacturers and consumers don't pay VAT on the food, significantly reducing the cost price. Don't worry if you see "dog food" and you've got a cat or ferret. It's the same ingredients. Just bare in mind that this universal rule only applies to 80:10:10 minces.
